Oh, what a tangle web she weaves! Lady Mercy is just the spitfire that causes readers to loose sleep. Ever wonder what a nosy, head strong busybody is up to while waiting for the clock to tick by…well you’d best get ready for the ride of page turning laughs, chuckles and “oh, no she didn’t””s which, if you’re reading this in a public place, people will wonder what you’re reading.
Lady M. is one of the most head strong no-it-all’s that I’ve read in a while from a romance novel and I loved it so much I finished this book in a few hours, which lead me to read the book prior to this “The Wicked Wedding of Elle Vyne”, introducing our little vixen (at the age of 10) who was just as much a menace to men then as she is at the ripe old age of 22.
Let’s not forget our manly-man who has had a long time association with ‘The Brat’, now referred to as ‘Silky Drawers’, Rafe Hartley who is just as determined not to have anything to do with her, but like most moths that are drawn to a flame, get singed, burned then rises like the Pheonix to start a new day (in this case a new life).
If you’re like me, and never read a romance by Jayne Fresina, you are in a real treat. I’ll be searching out her prior books for those times when I need a bit of laughter, fun and dreamy pleasure to round out my day.
